Awards and appreciation for Nicolae Testemitanu University representatives on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the institution’s founding

In the context of the 80th anniversary of the founding of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova, several scientific and didactic staff members and employees were honored with distinctions for dedicated work, responsibility and devotion, excellence in teaching, scientific and managerial activity. The distinctions were conferred during the extended anniversary meeting of the University Senate on October 21, 2025.
At the beginning of the meeting, the rector of the University, Professor Emil Ceban, came to the members of the community with a congratulatory message in which he mentioned that we represented the generation to which history had reserved the place and honor to celebrate this anniversary. "I wish you good health, notable achievements in your professional activity and new projects in the future for the prosperity of our institution within the united family of European universities."
The award ceremony was opened by MP Adrian Belii, who handed over the Diploma of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova to the following persons: Marcel Abras, Jana Bernic, Gheorghe Buruiana, Nicolae Ciobanu, Anatol Ciubotaru, Livi Grib, Sergiu Matcovschi and Grigore Zapuhlih.
Alexandru Gasnas, advisor to the Prime Minister's Office, awarded the Diploma of the Government of the Republic of Moldova to: Mircea Betiu, Ilia Catereniuc, Alexandru Cornogolub, Mihail Gavriliuc, Anatolie Nacu and Sergiu Ungureanu.
Further, the Diploma of the Ministry of Health was offered to: Olga Bedencova, Valentin Bendelic, Raisa Boitan, Valeriu Fala, Vitalie Lisnic, Daniela Donea, Maria Muntean, Diana Uncuta, Maria Dumbrava, Ala Holban, Grigore Verega, Sergiu Vetricean, Victor Schiopu, Mihail Tcaciuc, Lorina Vudu, Rodica Iachim and Anatolie Cigolea.
In turn, Adriana Cazacu, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Research, handed over the MER Diploma to the following people: Greta Balan, Mariana Cernitanu, Argentina Chiriac, Mihail Cojocari, Stela Cojocaru, Ion Cosciug, Lilia Dumbraveanu, Liubovi Karnaeva, Svetlana Lozovanu, Minodora Mazur, Maria Robu, Zinaida Sarbu, Corina Scutari, Larisa Spinei, Svetlana Sciuca and Valentina Trifan.
The Diploma of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research was granted to the following people: Olga Cernetchi, Jana Chihai, Olga Tagadiuc, Alin Bour, Angela Cazacu-Stratu, Nicolae Chele, Valeriu Cusnir, Ala Donos, Valeriu Istrati, Silvia Stratulat and Serghei Sandru.
The corporate distinction Cross for Merit in Public Health Assurance from the National Agency for Public Health was awarded to Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy for its outstanding contribution to the development of higher medical education, scientific research and the promotion of public health values in the Republic of Moldova.
The Diploma of the Health Trade Union Federation was awarded to Ariadna Balagura, Lora Gitu, as well as to Anatolie Cazac, Vitalie Gribenco, Eduard Lungu and Nicolae Proca.
Also, the 80th Anniversary Medal of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Diploma of Honor of Nicolae Testemitanu University, in appreciation of the substantial contribution to the development of healthcare and higher medical and pharmaceutical education in the Republic of Moldova, was awarded to the following consulting professors: Ion Ababii, Efim Arama, Gheorghe Baciu, Grigore Bivol, Valeriu Burlacu, Porfirii Cazac, Boris Curajos, Eugen Diug, Grigore Friptuleac, Gheorghe Ghidirim, Nicolae Ghidirim, Fiodor Grejdean, Eva Gudumac, Ion Iliciuc, Vasile Lutan, Mihail Maniuc, Petru Moroz, Gheorghe Muset, Anatolie Nistreanu, Victor Pantea, Viorel Prisacari, Marcu Rudi, Valeriu Rudic, Vladimir Safta, Aurel Saulea, Mihail Stefanet, Dumitru Tintiuc, Valentin Turea, Aurelia Ustian and Eremei Zota.
The anniversary medal of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy was created under the project "Joint Meeting of the National Councils of Rectors from Romania and the Republic of Moldova", funded by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova within the Government of Romania.
